<br />"j <br /> <br />and Loveland Irrigation Company own Boyd Lake, the largest reservoir in their system with a swface area of <br />1,750 acres and a capacity of 48.875 acre-feet. The dam is a Class I facility. The existing spillway is a 20- . <br />foot long grass swale with really no means of conveying any storm flows. The SEO requires that a Oass I <br />facility spiIlway pass 75% of the PMP. The Company is currently in the design phase to construct a new <br />labyrinth spiIlway approximately I, I 00 feet in length with an effective weir length of 5,720 feet, constructing <br />I,IOO-feet of downstream channel, and constructing 350-ft long floodwall. The project was awarded to <br />Gracon Construction, Loveland, Colorado. The project is 95% complete and is awaiting final approval from <br />the State Engineers Office. <br /> <br />20. Lower Bauer West Lateral. Inc. - Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Auth~~tion:~v~ceT~F~d <br />Water Source: Mancos River <br />Terms of Loan: $195,000@2.5%for30yrs. <br /> <br />Co~ty: Montezuma <br />Project Yield: 95 1 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Lower Bauer West Lateral owns and operates the west outlet lateral from Lower Bauer Reservoir. <br />This project involves the placement of 15,500 feet of 6-15-inch PVC pipe in the ditch our outlet lateral, to <br />reduce water loss and to produce working pressure for downstream irrigation users. The project is being <br />designed by the NRCS Cortez Office to carry the Company decree of 951 acre-feet to a 1,200-acre service <br />area. The project has been awarded to Lewis Excavating, Mancos, Colorado and the project is currently <br />~der construction. As of December 2005, the Contractor has installed all pipes and is currently in the <br />process of testing the system. CWCB is waiting on the engineer approval letter and grant contributions <br />from the NRCS to initiate project completion, which is scheduled for July of 2006. <br /> <br />21. The Company has an 86,000 acres service area, 55,000 acres of that irrigated and has <br />an average annual diversion of 90,000 acre-feet. This project involves the replacement of the inlet <br />structure into Big Windsor Reservoir and the rehabilitation of Lake Lee Dam. The project is being <br />designed and inspected by Smith Geotechnical; Fort Collins, Colorado. The reconstruction of Big <br />Windsor inlet structure was awarded to Barker Construction, Fort Collins, Colorado, who completed the <br />project in April of 2006. The construction of Lake Lee Dam is anticipated to commence in the fall of <br />2006. <br /> <br />22. Buffalo Farms Water Develooment. The farms utilized 11 existing wells to irrigate the 1,000 acres, growing com. alfalfa, beans, and <br />wheat. The 11 wells are currently being augmented ~der the Logan Well Users plan. The proposed <br />project consists of 1 recharge well at the river, and 6,000-ft. of pipe to a 22 acre existing recharge site. . <br /> <br />48 <br />
