<br />flooding problems due to storm runoff from irrigated farmlands and adjacent developments, These
<br />communities have suffered many recorded flooding events, dating back to 1957, which caused in excess of
<br />$300,000 in flood related damages, With significant population growth occurring within the District, the
<br />District cooperated in the development of the 1-25 Corridor Master Drainage Plan, The master drainage plan
<br />recommended that the existing detention pond located on the south side of Frederick be enlarged to a
<br />regional detention pond, to mitigate future flood damage to the surrounding communities, The regional
