<br />Dolores County is located in the Dolores River and San Jnan River Basins and is affected by the Colorado and <br />Upper Colorado River Compact, It is covered by the Colorado River Decision Support System (CRDSS), the <br />Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered Fish Species in the Upper Colorado River Basin, the San Juan <br />Recovery Implementation Program Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Program, Dolores Project (McPhee <br />Reservoir) operations are of significant interest to this county. The Dolores Water Conservancy District is working <br />hard to implement the WETPACK project The county is also impacted by the Colorado Ute Indian Water Rights <br />Settlement via the operation of the Dolores Project <br /> <br />~~~i <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />In this county there are two loans from the CWCR Consttuction Fund which have been completed for a total of <br />$480,000, <br /> <br />Water Project Consttuction Loan Program - Completed Projects by CWCB through FY 1999 <br />Proiect Name Amount Loaned <br />Rico Water Supply System $ 80,000 <br />Dove Creek Water System 400,000 <br /> <br />Instream Flow Water Rights appropriated exclusively in this county total 84 miles and 15 stream segments, <br /> <br />Note: in reference to Instream Flow Water Rights, information listed above may not be inclusive of all water rights <br />in a given county since a stream segment may start in one county and end in another. <br /> <br />This county has three Undesignated Floodplains. Forest Service Federal Reserved Water Rights Claims for Water Division I <br />(denied), It is also affected by Metro Water Supply Investigation and SB 74 Study, The county benefits from the <br />Platte River Cooperative Agreement.
