The <br />endangered Prebles Meadow Jumping Mouse is also causing concerns along wetland areas. Because of <br />transmountain diversion, the county is affected by the Colorado River Compact, Colorado River Recovery Program <br />and Colorado Salinity Contract Program, The county is also affected by Metro Water Snpply Study and SB 71 <br />Study, <br /> <br />Two municipal grants have been awarded to Cherry Creek Water and Sanitation District throngh the Office of Water <br />Conservation, The first grant in the amount of $38,400 for development of a water conservation planning computer <br />model; and, the second grant in the amount of $4,225 for the Wabash risk reliability assessment project, Both <br />projects have been completed, This county has also participating in creating a water conservation plan, <br /> <br />This county has five Designated Floodplain Studies and five Undesignated Studies affecting 48 stream reaches, <br />They also participate in the National Flood Insurance Program and are part of the NFIP Community Rating System, <br />Work continues on the South Platte Rehab Project.
