The feasibility investigation author-
ization bill for the Front aange unit and
the Armel Unit passed the Senate, but the
corresponding bill died in the House. The
bills will have to be reintroduced in the
next session.

On the Trinidad project, the Assistant
Commissioner N. B. Bennett, for Commissioner
Floyd Dominy, and Major General Clarence
Haug of the Corps of Engineers, delivered
the principal addresses at the groundbreak-
ing ceremonies for the construction of
Trinidad Dam on September 6th.

"Thank you, Ben. Members of the Board,
guests, this is a report of Region 4, Bureau
of Reclamation, activities in Colorado and
areas that affect Colorado.

On our Curecanti Unit, bids will be
taken December 5th for completion of Morrow
Point Powerplant and construction of the
switchyard to serve the Morrow Point facili-
ties. This contract will also include
construction of the Morrow Point entrance
and visitor center 1 two miles of trans-
mission lines from the Curecanti Substation
