The Legal Cormnittee re- <br />ported on Sunday of that week and the Connnission approved the re- <br />commendations of the Legal Connnittee. The Secretary then prepared <br />a letter to the Chairman of the House Subcormnittee. However, it <br />was impossible to get any members of the House to approve those <br />amendments. The hearings lasted from January 18 through January <br />28. After the Hearings were ended the matter was held in a1;>eyance <br />by the Connnittee until sometime in March." (Mr. Breitenstein read <br />letters to the Board.) <br /> <br />"So far as Curecanti is concerned, I would like to read from the <br />transcript."
