Supreme Court cases.
The state of Colorado is not a party to either' of those "cases.
I suggest for your consideration that some means should be
provided to take care of the liaison which I have provided and
wh~ch I can no longer provide."

Mr. Crawford: "Couldn't that be done by the Attorney General's
office?"!

I

Mr. Breitenstein: "Yes."

Mr~ Bailey: "Any other comments on Mr. Breitenstein's and
Mr. Tipton's resignations? Cooperative Restudy Wagon Wheel Gap.

Mr. Bailey: "Mr. ,Tipton, will you report on this topic?"

Mr. Tipton: "Yes. You may remember that as a result of an
investigation the State, through this Board, requested the
Department of Interior to restudy the project. That study worked
out very well so far as setting up criteria is concerned. How-
ever, it appears there has been a slight misunderstanding. I
think that the type-of procedure carried through on the Platoro
was very satisfactory. I am recommending to the Board that that
type of procedure be followed. It has been taken up with, Ray
Moses and he said that his people will cooperate with the study.
I recommend the cooperative procedure to the Board."T

Mr. Riesbol: "We will welcome cooperative assistance."

Mr. Tipton: "It was agreed that there should be this sort of
cooperative study."

Mr. Crawford: "It would be'very advantageous to all concerned
if this study could be a"truly cooperative affair between the
BUJ!eau, the Board and Mr. Moses I water district.'.

Mr. Tipton: "I think it will help the Bureau from a financial
point ,of view. I would suggest that the Board endorse this type
of cooperative-study." "

Mr. Crawford: ''I would like to MOVE that the Board endorse; the
making of a cooperative study of the Wagon Wheel Gap Reservoir
by the Board, the Reclamation Service and the Conservancy:district
~ti;Alamosa."!

I"

I

Mr. Dille: "I SEE:OND the MOTION."
