Mr. Roberts: "The limit in the Supreme Court decree is water
that'can be diverted in,Colorado rather than the amount of water
for consumptive use in Colorado.":

A brief discussion followed relative' to this matter.

Mr. Bailey: "The matter will come back to the Board after the
people report to the Governor .'"

Mr. Bailey: "I think Mr. Pug:be can report on that meeting~"

Mr. Pughe gave the background and discussed the Savery Pot Hook
meeting in Craig. He stated that the report on this project is
due in July.

Mr. Pughe: "~le thought then that until we receive this report
we would have nothing to present to the Congress. There is really
nothing we can do at this time. The cost ratio on it is high.
There would~e a lot of flood control. It is going to take con-
siderable influence to get anything moving on it. We can talk
about it more intelligently after we get that r?port." .

Mr. Roberts: "What is the elevation of that land?"

Mr. Crawford: "5,500 or 7,000 feet." 0

Mr. Bailey: "Any other questions? If not we .rill. pass on to
Item 7."

7. Legislative Committee ~ V.ater Problem.

Mr. Bailey: "Dean, can you tell us romething about that?"

Mr. Crawford: "It is a joint committee appointed from the Senate
and House of Representatives to consider the water problem. The
Legislative Council is furnishing help. The relationsIiip seems
to be entirely friendly."

Mr. Baileyi "Any questions on Item 7? If not we will proceed with
Item 8."

8. Cliffs-Divide Repo~.' Further Studies.

Mr. Crawford: "You all have copies of the Cliffs-DiVide Project
report. The report is a status report. The Bureau will select
projects from those noted in the report for fturther study" Before
further studies are undertaken the director from the area in question
will'be::contacted. The figures in the Cliffs-Divide Report are not
comparable with those of the Hill Report. Interest during the pay-
off period should be added for comparison purposes.'"
