Report on Laramie River Problem.

I

,
Mr. Bailey: "The Board will remember that there was a Connnittee
appointed to negotiate with the State of Wyoming to see :if that
river situation'could be cleared. . The Laramie River people re-
quested a conference with the Governor, which was .held last Friday
and attended by Dean Crawford, Mr. Breitenstein, the Attorney Gen-
eral and I, along with the Laramie people. The only possible
solution they could figure out is to try to get back into the
Supreme Court.. Theyv.ere requested to present a concrete proposal
and also suggest what they hope to prove and how to prove it. As
it is, we don't know'whether it will cost $56,000 or $100,000 to
go through the court. The Laramie people don 't know what I,S going.
to happen up there. It is a very urifortunate condition result.ing
from the U. S. Supreme Court decree. The situation is bad and I
don't know what's going to happen.,"

Mr. Dutcher: "Are those people residents of Wyoming?"

Mr. Bailey: "No, they are residents of Colorado."
