"This is all I am really talking about in
terms of a month's time. It seems apparent to
me that even among knowledgeable members of
our staff there is some difference of opinion
and I think we shouldn't take an important step
like this until we have their firm recommenda-
tions."

"Let us bring it to a conclusion here now
by majority rule. I would like to move that
the committee be activated at this meeting and
that upon the request of the Colorado River
Water Conservation District the Colorado Water
Conservation Board take the initiative in acti-
va ting thi s commi t tee. "

"It has been regularly moved. Is there a
second?"

"I'll second."

"Seconded by Mr. ~7illiams. Any further
discussion?"

"I think our District is entitled to some
time to study this. I heard of it as of this
morning for the first time. and surely from
now until June perhaps we will get some answers
on the questions and I would hate to see a
committee set up now just out of a blue sky
without our District having a chance to con-
sider it. I go along with Mr. Sparks' thinking
that the staff comes up with a recommendation
at our June meeting."

"I believe that the Game and Fish Department
should be consulted. I don't see how you can do
it without this."
