the dams in the Gunnison Basin.

We've made better progress on our 1962
water year Surface Water Report than we had
anticipated. The boys are winding it up now
and we will take it over to the GPO on Friqay
this week. Our target date for distribution
has been moved up at least a month, so I see no
reason why we shouldn't have it released by the
end of June and I'm hoping for a little bit
sooner than that. That will depend somewhat on
how much work the GPO has out there, how soon
they can get to it.

guests, the activities of the Albuquerque Dis-
trict during the past two months consisted of
a continuation of planning for the Trinidad
Reservoir Project on the purgatoire River near
Trinidad, Colorado, and investigations and
studies for water resources development On the
Arkansas River and tributaries ,above John Martin
Reservoir.

with respect to the Trinidad Reservoir
Project, the difficulties reported at the March
meeting concerning disagreements over the amount
of storage to be provided in the project and the
proposed operating principles have been overcome
and work has been resumed by all interests con-
cerned with the view of initiating construction
next year if funds are made available. I am
particularly happy to report this. We had some
concern, some real worry, last time we met with
you that we didn't have a project and I think
this is a notable accomplishment in the last two
