locations of roads around the reservoir, etc.,
are progressing quite rapidly now since the
weather has cleared up.

In the line of further, you might say,
investigations regarding that project, we have
been very active in studying the possible inte-
gration of the Homestake Project with the
Fryingpan-Arkansas Project. Those studies are
going on; no conclusions have yet been drawn;
there is nothing specific to report on but they
are actively under consideration.

I

On a water right adjudication in District
11, preliminary hearings were held at Salida on
April 1st, attended by members of the Fryingpan-
Arkansas organization and a final hearing on
that adjudication is set in the Salida District
Court for Septelllber 9th. I think that's the
correct date, isn't it, Chuck?"

MR. BEISE:

"That's the next date, yes."

MR. KNIGHTS:

"On the Hayden-Archer 230 kv transmission
line, bids will be opened tomorrow in the Chief
Engineer's office here in Denver and there I
think a word of explanation may be in order to
the Board because the handling of that line is
a little different than as we normally handle
between Regions. In this instance, Region 4 has
handled the location, the design data and the
acquisition of rights-of-way and will continue
on that right-oi-way work for that line. The
Chief Engineer, of course, will make the
design--has made the designs--and the specifi-
cations and calls for the bids. Region 7 will
do the construction, supervise the construction,
by contract. We have established an office in
Cheyenne for that purpose. That office will
handle other transmission line construction as
well as this one. The construction engineer in
Cheyenne is Mr. Greenlaw and in case anyone
might be interested in contacting him, I don't
have his initials, neither do I have an address
for the office in Cheyenne. It was very recently
established, within the last week or so.
