I

On Green Mountain, the slide gates repair,
which some of you may be aware of and some may
not, has been completed. That has been in pro-
gress all winter there. We took the opportunity
to draw the reservoir down and make the repair,
or to inspect and repair and service the slide
gates which had not been examined or touched since
their installation in about 1935 or 36, somewhere
along in there. The storage in the reservoir
was resumed in March and is going on at the
present time. The outlook for storage in Green
Mountain Reservoir is fair. The only reason it's
only fair at this particular time is because we
did exhaust the water during the winter to make
this repair work.

All other prospects for storage. and storage,
in the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, are good
and we will have more than 225,000 acre-feet of
water available for transport to the project area
on the eastern slope during the irrigation season.
The Conservancy District has made their declara-
tion to their water users and what we call
'operation skim' started yesterday, I believe.
That operation skim is the utilization of excess
eastern slofe flows through the powerplants and
curtailment of importations through the Alva B.
Adams Tunnel during the time there are such flows
in the eastern slope streams.

I

We've had considerable activity in the last
two months since your last Board meeting on small
Projects loans. Not that we have made any or
actually received any applications but there has
been interest in them and we have received in-
quiries from the Big Thompson Soil Conservation
District and the Louden Irrigation, Canal and
Reservoir Company, that being one particular
inquiry. Another inquiry from the Longmont Soil
Conservation District and the Left Hand Ditch
company and I am going up there tonight to talk
with them about it. Another inquiry from the
Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Company and that
involves the Evans #2 Ditch in the South platte
Valley and possibly the Stanley Lake Reservoir
out in the foothills. We find that this is a new
interest in these Small Projects loans, partially
