KNIGHTS: <br /> <br />"On May the 9th and then that survey will <br />get under way. <br /> <br />In regard to the Trinidad Project, we have <br />received resolutions from the purgatoire River <br />Water conservancy District and from the Model <br />Land and Irrigation Company. The resolutions <br />cover their willingness to proceed with the proj- <br />ect and participate in negotiations for a repay- <br />ment contract. The Model Land and Irrigation <br />Company resolution was necessary on account of <br />the transfer of the storage right from the Model <br />Reservoir to the proposed reservoir on the Purga- <br />toire River at Trinidad. The resolution there, <br />(I think we reported this at the last meeting - <br />no, we didn't have this resolution at the last <br />Board meeting) but when we got it it wasn't <br />entirely satisfactory and we did have to ask for <br />a modification of that resolution. We anticipate <br />such modification will be forthcoming and in <br />anticipation of that the studies of the effects <br />of the proposed modifications of the operating <br />principles have been resumed the latter part of <br />April and we are going ahead with those studies. <br />Now this is no guarantee that those studies will <br />find that the project remains feasible under <br />those modifications but it is feasible without <br />these modifications. <br /> <br />On the Cache la poudre investigations, our <br />reconnaissance report has been completed and <br />transmitted to our Chief Engineer and to our I <br />Washington office. We have review comments <br />from both of them and the revision of the recon- <br />naissance report is in progress. We expect to <br />get under way with feasibility type investiga- <br />tions on that project in the very near future. <br />The steering Committee up there, as this Board <br />knows, has been extremely active and they are <br />
