development of the South Platte River and any-
thing that can be done to include appropriate
studies on the Two Forks and its incorporation
into that master plan are vital. Even as Mr.
Miller suggests, there is possibly something
that may be presented to the Board of Water
,Commissioners of Denver of seeking, if other
entities are willing to cooperate, perhaps a
contribution which would enable this Board to
initiate that study and carry it forward."

"Thank you, Nr. ROss. Any further comments
from any of our guests? If not, I would like
to suggest that maybe we have a motion approv-
ing the staff's recommendations with a further
proviso that the staff work as closely as
possible with the affected areas to see that
the delays in these investigations be kept at
an absolute minimum."

"Mr. Burr has seconded. Is there any fur-

"I might say, I think to acknowledge the
help that we received from the Colorado Water
Congress in the attempt to have these budget
cuts restored, was material in getting a further
hearing with Senator Locke before the Senate
acted on this. Frankly, we presented to him the
same arguments that Mr. Peterson has made and
that Mr. Miller has made but this did not get
through. "

"I would think, in that regard, it might be
well to invite Mr. Locke, Senator Locke, to our
Board meeting in western Colorado to see just
what we do do and some of the problems. I think
it's a question of exposure to the Board's work.
That is the only thing that's holding this back
and I think if we make some plans to go to Craig
that some influential members of the Legislature
