Water Division 1

Approximately 87 potential new instream flow segments have been identified in Water Division 1.
These segments have been placed in the following Phase classifications.

.

Phase ill - Public Review and CommentIBoard Action

There are no stream segments currently in Phase 3 in Water Division 1 at this time.

Phase n - StatTReview and Processing

Staff is currently processing approximately 30 stream segments in Water Division 1. Stream
segments of special significance include:

. Clear Creek (5 Segments) - These segments are located in Clear Creek and Jefferson
Counties. These segments were identified by the CDOW for inclusion into the instream
flow program. CWCB and DOW staff has attended several meetings held by the Upper
Clear Creek Watershed Forum. Staff has also made a small presentation to this group
regarding these proposed recommendations. Staff will continue to collect additional data
and meet with interested parties.
. Field data regarding all of the Phase 1 segments is anticipated to be collected
using the R2X Methodology and standard fish sampling techniques. The natural environment to
be preserved is generally a cold water fishery. Exceptions to the cold water fishery environment
could include Plum and Deer Creeks and the lower sections of the South Platte River.

Water Division 2

Approximately 143 potential new instream flow segments have been identified in Water Division
2.
