<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1 <br />2 <br /> <br />SECTION 8. South Platte river decision support system - <br />appropriation. (1) The Colorado water conservation board is hereby <br /> <br />3 authorized to commence the design of a decision support system for the <br />4 South Platte river by retaining a contractor to initiate development of the <br />5 necessary databases and to collect the required water resources <br />6 information for development of the surface and groundwater models, <br />7 consumptive use models, and overall water budget model associated with <br />8 the decision support system. <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />(2) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby <br /> <br />10 appropriated, out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board <br />11 construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Colorado water <br />12 conservation board, for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2001, the sum of <br />13 two million dollars ($2,000,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, <br />14 for the necessary data collection and design of a decision support system <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />for the South Platte river. <br /> <br />16 (3) The moneys appropriated in subsection (2) of this section shall <br />17 remain available for the designated purposes until the project is <br />18 completed. <br />19 SECTION 9. Lower South Platte water management and <br />20 storage site study - appropriation. (1) In addition to any other <br />21 appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, out of any moneys in the <br />22 Colorado water conservation board construction fund not otherwise <br />23 appropriated, to the Colorado water conservation board, for the fiscal year <br />24 beginning July 1, 2001, the sum of five hundred thousand dollars <br />25 ($500,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the board to <br />26 contract with a consulting firm to complete a feasibility study of the <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />project alternatives identified in the project's.reconnaissance study.
