1 appropriated, out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board
2 construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Colorado water
3 conservation board for allocation to the southeastern Colorado water
4 conservancy district water activity enterprise, the sum of one hundred
5 thousand dollars ($100,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to
6 conduct a reconnaissance and feasibility study of the Arkansas valley
7 pipeline project.
8 (3) The moneys appropriated in subsection (2) of this section shall
9 remain available for the designated purposes until the project is
10 completed.
II SECTION 11. Consolidated water resources information center
12 - appropriation. In addition to any other appropriations, the Colorado
13 water conservation board is hereby appropriated sixty thousand dollars
14 ($60,000) from the Colorado water conservation board construction fund
15 to continue operation of the consolidated water resources information
16 center. The moneys appropriated in this section shall remain available for
17 the designated purposes until they are exhausted.
18 SECTION 12. Elkhead reservoir environmental compliance-
19 appropriation. (1) The Colorado water conservation board is hereby
20 authorized to participate in environmental studies and investigations
21 regarding water development and the recovery of four endangered fish
22 species in the Yampa river basin. The studies will evaluate a plan to
23 provide approximately 7,000 acre-feet of water for the endangered fish
24 species from new and existing sources, one component of which would
25 be the enlargement of Elkhead reservoir in Moffat county. The studies
26 will specifically analyze the consequences of enlarging Elkhead reservoir
27 for the purpose of obtaining necessary construction and environmental
