e. Lower Gunnison Unit

(1) Estimated that about 160,000 acres of irrigated
land contributes 1.1 million tons of salt to
riverflow

(2) Believe that combination irrigation management
scheduling and water systems improvement could
reduce contribution by approximately 300,000
tons of salt per year

(3) Investigations began in FY 1974

(4) Irrigation management scheduling started on
2,900 acres within Uncompahgre Project portion
of area. Had participation with water users
association.

(5) Irrigation management scheduling is scheduled
through 1980, a feasibility investigations report
on systems improvement is scheduled for FY 1978.

f. Meeker Dome Area

(1) Meeker well was plugged in 1968 by the Bureau
using demonstration funds supplied by the EPA.

(2) Saline water has again emerged in surrounding
area and continues to pollute White River.

(3) Considering inclusion of this area as a unit of
the Colorado River Water Quality Improvement
Program in connection with other investigations
on White River.

1. Dallas Creek Pro~

a. The Definite Plan Report is scheduled for completion
in January 1975 and the draft environmental state-
ment in February.

b. Project storage would be provided in Ridgway and
Dallas Divide Reservoirs. While the reservoirs would
be inter-related in operation, Ridgway would generally
