The fact is, I'. <br />the Highway 75 relocation will provide most <br />of the west and north boundaries of the <br />project. <br /> <br />The Denver Rio Grande Railroad will have <br />to be raised and moved over to the east. We <br />plan to move that until it is parallel with <br />the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. <br />They will be approximately 20 feet apart. <br />This map doesn't show that quite correctly <br />either. That's been a new change since this <br />map was published. <br /> <br />Then, of course, there will be many <br />utilities, pipelines, telephone lines and <br />that sort of thing that will have to be re- <br />located. <br /> <br />These relocations are the thing that <br />will influence our programing substantially. <br />As you are quite aware, we can~t build some- <br />thing until we get the land cleared before <br />construction. <br /> <br />We plan quite a large recreation facility <br />here. There will be three public use areas <br />planned. They are shown in green on this <br />little brochure. One of them is the Deer <br />Creek Canyon area which is on the west side <br />of the dam: another is the Riverside area <br />which is in between the two water courses, <br />the South platte and Plum Creek water courses: <br />and then the Marcy Gulch area which is down- 1 <br />stream of the dam on the east side. There <br />will be fishing, boating, water-skiing, pic- <br />nicking, everything that goes into making a <br />recreation area. We plan to plant trees <br />around all the areas. The Fish and Game De- <br />partment of Colorado has also indicated they <br />would like to have a fish hatchery in this <br />
