we are making progress with that.

I

A little bit about the reservoir opera-
tion. As I mentioned, the design outflow is
5000 second feet. This will be unregulated.
However, when floods come along, we will have
to close down the gates in order to protect
the people downstream. So during that time
we will close them down until the flood has
passed and then open the gates to allow 5000
second foot discharge until the pool is drawn
down again. Dot'ffistream of the dam, between
the dam and Denver, there will be a local
cooperation project required in order to
increase the capacity of the downstream
channel to 5000 second feet. This local
cooperation project, of course, involves the
so-called A, B, C's of local cooperation
providing land, easements, rights-of-way,
and holdings to save the government from
damages, and so on.

We also have a problem of supplying
water to three irrigation ditches, the Last
Chance Ditch, Nevada Ditch and city Ditch.
While we haven't come to complete details
on how we are going to do this, we are work-
ing with those people and arriving at solu-
tions.

Now the relocations on this project are
quite complex and they make quite a sizeable
chunk in our bank account in order to get
this project going. One of the main ones is
the relocation of Highway 75. Incidentally,
that doesn't show on this map but it will be
relocated between Highway 85, just downstream
of the dam. I think it is near the Douglas
County line. I can furnish a map to show you
this if you want it. But anyway, down hear
there is where it will connect with Highway
85, across the valley downstream of the dam
and be relocated slightly west of its present
location so that it will provide a means of
