.J'~

)'I. M. Williams: "I think the Univel'sity of Colorado Report should
be summarized; it takes too muoh effort to dig through
the partioulars".

I

Mr. Crawford: III would be very glad to make that suggestion to
Mr. Crampon. Does anyone think that the 500 copies should be made
available? Judging from the other report, the inquiries would not
exceed that amo\Ult. There is no way of evaluating the market pre-
cisely".

Mr. Bailey:

"What does the Board wish to do on this matter?"

Mr. Moses: nI would like first to say if Mr. William's. suggestion
could be incorporated with a summarization of the report, then it is
all right to order 500 more copies. n

W. M. Williams: "They could prepare extra copies for those that
'have received the first copies.1I

Mr. Moses: III would suggest that the Director delay ordering the
extra 500 copies until we find out if the report can be summarized".

Mr. Crawford:

nAnd if it can't?1I

Mr. Moses: IIThen order the additional 500 copies. I MOVE that 500
copies of the University of Colorado report be made available".

Mr. Dutcher:

"r.SECOND that motion".

MOTION CARRIED.

Mr. Bailey: liThe wlJ:;,' the matter stands, on December 11th I believe
we took action on the Upper Colorado River Storage. That is on
page 22 of those minutes of December 11th. At our last meeting it
was suggested that it might be appropriE-te to change the wording in
a few clauses there. Those suggested changes appear on the bottom
of page 13 and top of page 14 on December 30th."

Mr. Moses: "Mr. Chairman, I think we should. hear from Mr. Pughe on
Cross Mountain before we proceed with thatll.

Mr. Bailey: IIYes, I think we should hear from Mr. Pughe on Cross
Mountainll.

I

Mr. Pughe: "I have heard considerable objection to Cross Mountain.
There were about 65 or 75 present. Most all of the ranchers were
there. I explained the proposition to them. I secured this map from
Mr. Larson. (Mr. Pughe discussed the map in detail.) The question
came up - what will we be paid for our lands, and I said that could
not be answered right now. I explained that the stockmen would .
understand that they hE-ve to have hay in the winter and grazing land
in the summer. I think an amendment put in Section 6 would cure that.
I would suggest making that amendment so that the land could be pro-
tected. At the Maybelle meeting they discussed it at some length.
It was late when we finished our meeting and everyone seemed interested,
even the women. They finally decided to take a vote on it. 16 for
and 16 opposed. At Craig it was about the same results, but they did
