ADMINISTRATION BY SECRETARY OF INTERIOR <br /> <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br /> <br />(a) PLAN ApPROV AL.--VpOn the development of a proposed <br /> <br />plan, with assistance from the Commission, the Secretary shall, <br /> <br />within sixty (60) days, initiate all appropriate environmental <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />compliance activities necessary to permit the review of the proposed <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />plan and any alternatives thereto and to permit public participation. <br /> <br />Thereafter, the Secretary shall adopt a final plan for the Area <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />consistent with the Commission's proposed plan to the extent <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />possible, that reflects the results of the environmental compliance <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />activities undertaken and shall publish the same in the Federal <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />Register. <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />(b) ADMINISTRATION.--The Secretary shall administer the <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />lands owned by the United States within the Area in accordance with <br /> <br />17 <br />18 <br /> <br />the laws (including regulations) applicable to public lands (as defined <br /> <br />in section 103 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />1976 (43 V.S.C. 1702), and the Area Management Plan developed by <br /> <br />DRAFT. April 27, 2001 <br />
