TERMINATION OF THE COMMISSION <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />(a) TERMlNATION.--Except as provided in subsection (b), the <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />Commission shall terminate on the day occurring ten years and six <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />months after the date of the enactment of this Act. <br />, <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />(b) EXTENSIONS.--The Commission may be extended for a <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />period of not more than five years beginning on the day of <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />termination referred to in subsectionl(a) if, not later than 180 days <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />before such day-- <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />(1) the Commission !ietermines such extension is <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />necessary in order to carry outithe purpose of this Act; and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />DRAFT.
