<br />4t <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />(4) be developed in accordance with the provisions of <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />section 202 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />of 1976 (43 V.S.C. 1712); and <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />(5) be consistent, to the extent possible, with the <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />management plans adopted by the Director of the Bureau of <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />Land Management for adjacent properties in Colorado and <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />New Mexico. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />(b) IMPLEMENTATION OFTHEPLAN.--Vpon approval and final <br /> <br />9 adoption of the Plan by the Secretary of the Interior, as provided in <br /> <br />e section 9, the Commission shall assist the Secretary in implementing <br /> <br />11 the Plan by taking appropriate steps to preserve and interpret the <br /> <br />12 natural resources of the Area and its surrounding area. These steps <br /> <br />13 may include, but need not be limited to-- <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />(1) assisting the State in preserving the Area; <br />(2) assisting the State and local governments, and <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />political subdivisions of the State in increasing public <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />awareness of and appreciation for the natural, historical, and <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />wildlife resources in the Area; <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />DRAFT.
