have been any further controversy. So the
controversy was launched by these companies
who have now presented this proposal."

MR. STAPLETON:

"If there are no further questions, I
would like to suggest this order of procedure
to the Board. Governor McNichols would like to
make a statement, as I understand it, to the
Board and he will be back and available at 2:30.
I would like to recess this meeting then until
2:30 and we'll meet back here.

As most of you know, Mr. Sparks will be
called up for active duty in the reserve approxi-
mately on October 1st, and I would like the
Board, its attorney and its Director, to meet
at lunch to discuss that transition and I think,
for this purpose, those will be the only ones
present. It will facilitate a discussion of
that problem.

Unless I hear objection, we will meet
immediately at 12:15 for lunch at the Argonaut
and reconvene this meeting at 2: 30 back here."

GOVERNOR JOHNSON: "Mr. Chairman, I have copies of my testimony
before the Public Works Appropriations Committee
that I made in June. So I have copies here if
anybody is interested in looking at my testi-
mony, they can pick it up here."

MR. STAPLETON:

"Thank you very much. We will pass them
out to Board members and the balance will be
available to our guests.

We will reconvene at 2:30."

The meeting reconvened at 2:30 and was called to order
by Vice~Chairman ~tapleton.
