As the Chairman has stated, he generally always attends our Board meetings. Last Wednesday night, now that was a week ago from this past Wednesday, which would have been August 30th, while I was at home the telephone rang at our house. I, at that time, was enjoying a common vice, watching television. My wife answered the telephone and came into our television room and asked me if I knew Mrs. Keating's address - Mrs. Lee Keating our secre- tary, or her phone number. I said, 'Well, it's in the phone book, have the caller look it up'. She went back and started thumbing through the telephone book herself. Then she called to me. She said 'It sounded like Governor Johnson'. I immediately went to the phone and ascertained that it was Governor Johnson, our Commissioner .on the Upper Colorado River Commission. He advised me that he was trying to locate Mrs. Keating and I then asked if I could be of any assistance. He stated 'Well, Mr. Goslin, the Secretary-Engineer for the Upper Colorado River Commission called me and asked that I make arrangements for a meeting room for a special meeting of the Upper Colorado River Commission on September 1st.' (The following Friday). I therefore stated that I would make arrange- ments for the room. I I expressed some surprise that I had re- ceived no previous notice of such a meeting. Governor Johnson then informed me that he under- stood that some of the Commissioners wanted such a meeting and that he presumed the meeting would take up the subject of the transmission lines for the Upper Colorado River storage Project system. The following morning - that was on a Thursday morning - I arranged for a room in the State Office Building. All the rooms in this building were taken.
