In 1997 a significant landslide removed approximately 250-fl. of the Woodchuck Ditch. Since that time the Ditch ,
Company has spent significant time and money in temporary repairs to keep the ditch operational. In 1999 the Natural.-
Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Steamboat Springs Office, was retained by the Ditch Company to design a _
permanent solution to the problem. The proposed improvements include 400-fl. of 36-inch diameter heavy wall steel
pipe secured with %-inch wire rope anchored into bedrock, with inceptor drains, backfilled as required to restore the
natural side slope of the area. Percision Construction has commenced work and is anticipated to be completed by the end
of November 2000.

Projects Under Design

1. The Poudre Valley Canal and the Cobb Lake improvements have been
designed and constructed. The design on Annex No.8, Windsor No.8 and Elder Reservoir are currently underway, with
construction planned to commence in the fall of 2000.
