<br />Terms of Loan: $1,600,000@4.75% for 30-years <br /> <br />Project Type: Tunnel Rehabilitation <br /> <br />A. The existing Laramie/Poudre Tunnel is approximately 2 miles in length, diverting water directly from the <br />.Laramie River and discharging it into Poudre River at a point approximately 60 miles west of Fort Collins. On May 28, <br />2000, a 400-fl. section of the tunnel collasped, leaving the tunnel inoperable. The proposed project involves the <br />construction of new access roads and staging areas at both ends of the tunnel and the repair of the failed tttnnel area. <br />Rocky Mountain Consultants, Longmont, Colorado, has completed the final design at a estimated project cost of <br />$1,800,000. Construction is tentatively scheduled to commence in December 2000 <br /> <br />5. Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company <br />Authorization: SB-97-008 <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $200,000@3.75% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Project Yield: 4,287 ac. fl. <br />Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br /> <br />This $270,000 project is the rehabilitation of the Summit Reservoir Dam outlet works and the repair and <br />improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water collection and distribution facilities. The Cortez <br />office of Natural Resource Conservation Service prepared the construction plans and specifications. Construction for the <br />second to the last phase of improvements commenced in March of 1999, by Noland, Inc., of Mancos, CO., and was <br />completed in July of 1999. The final phase of improvements is scheduled to be designed during the fall of 2000 with <br />construction to follow in the early spring of 2001. <br /> <br />6. Bottlder & Lefthand Irrigation Company - Twin Lakes Outlet Improvements <br />Authorization: 1998 Small Project Loan Accottnt County: Boulder - NE of Boulder <br />Water Source: Boulder Creek Project Yield: 218 ac.fl. <br />Terms of Loan: $100,000 @ 3.75% for 15 years Project Type: Dam Outlet Improvements <br /> <br />.. This project is the reconstruction of the Boulder & Lefthand Irrigation Company reservoir's (Twin Lakes) otttlet <br />.and inlet structures and the construction of a new emergency spillway. Recent State Engineer Office inspections indicate <br />that the outlet conduit has rusted through and is functionally obsolete. Rocky Mountain Consultants of Longmont are <br />currently preparing the final design plans and specifications, with construction scheduled for the early spring of 2001. <br /> <br />7. Loveland, City of - Green Ridge Glade Reservoir Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: HB 98-1189 County: Larimer - W. of Loveland <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River Project Yield: 6,000 acre feet <br />Terms of Loan: $5,000,000 @ 4.75% for 10 yrs. Project Type: Dam enlargement <br /> <br />This $19.2 million project is the enlargement of the Green Ridge Glade Reservoir northwest of Loveland. The <br />project consists of raising the crest of the existing dam approximately 60 feet, construction of a new concrete labyrinth <br />weir spillway, and new multi-level intake gate tower outlet structure. The City has contracted with Woodward-Clyde of <br />Denver to prepare the final design and construction contract documents. Environmental studies are cttrrently ttnderway <br />with construction scheduled to commence in late 2001 or early 2002. <br /> <br />8. Riverside Reservoir and Land Company - Riverside Reservoir Spillway Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 Cottnty: Weld - NW of Wiggins <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 200 ac.fl. <br />Terms of Loan: $450,000 @ 3.75% for 20 yrs. Project Type: Spillway Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the construction of an emergency spillway on the Riverside Reservoir Dam, located 11 miles <br />northwest of Wiggins in Weld County. The State Engineer has placed a storage <br />.. restriction on the reservoir until an emergency spillway is completed. The Riverside Reservoir and Land Company <br />..-contracted with W.W. Wheeler and Associates of Denver to prepare construction plans and specifications. The State <br />Engineer's office and the Riverside Reservoir and Land Company are currently evaluating alternate spillway sizes. <br />Construction of the project is currently on-hold, pending resolution of the spillway size and downstream property issues. <br />
