BARKLEY:

I

_.......,-

"You have no idea about any changes New
Mexico may have?"

"Mr. Chairman, I would suggest this Board
approve the proposed Act as amended by these
amendments that Larry has just gone over, and
with that Mr. Moses and Mr. Gildersleeve can pre-
sent them as being acceptable to Colorado. If
they accept them then we are under way. If there
are further changes, I think it definitely will
have to come back for further action by this
Board. "

"1 will entertain such a motion by a member
of the Board."

"I'll make the motion."

"Mr. Williams has made the motion."

"I'll second the motion."

"The motion has been duly made and seconded
that Senate Bill 72 as amended by conferences
in New Mexico and as amended further today, be
approved. All those in favor will signify by
saying 'aye'; opposed - the motion is unanimously
carried.

The next item on the agenda is the report
of the Investigation Commission on Power Trans-
mission and I'll call on Bob Barkley, the Chair-
man of the Colorado Water Investigation Commis-
sion to start this off. Bob."

"Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The Commission
met a week ago today to take under considera-
tion a report by the Power Committee which was
made under date of February 4th. It is quite
voluminous and gets into a lot of details and
mechanics that I'm not sure you would want to
cover. I shall not bother with that portion
of it except to tell you that after considera-
tion of the report by the Investigation Commis-
sion, the Co~~ission adopted the report of the
committee and makes the following recommenda-
tions to this Board. I think all of you got
copies of it, I understand the Secretary, Don
Hamburg, furnished copies to Mr. Kuiper, so that
all of you members of the Board are included.

Mr. Chairman, in the interest of time, unless
