project was completed and submitted to our Washington and
Denver offices in December for their review and approval.
The project plan described therein is generally the same
plan presented to Congress in the authorizing hearings except
that the project acreages have been reduced by the elimina-
tion of class 4 lands and that additional costs have been in-
cluded for project drains and for an operation and maintenance
headquarters building.

Curecanti Unit.

The proposed report is nearing completion. As pre-
viously discussed the time available to us did not permit
an appraisal in final detail for the Cyrstal site. Therefore"
our current report will present detailed plans for Blue Mesa
and Morrow Point Dams and Reservoirs only. We plan to follow
up in about a year with a supplemental report showing the
costs and benefits of adding Crystal Dam and Reservoir. A
contract will need to be awarded early this summer to obtain
the additional detailed topography needed for selecting and
appraising the Crystal site.

It is our present plan to complete the intial re-
port early in February.

Florida Proiect.

Core drilling was completed on the lower (No.2)
Lemon Dam site. Overburden conditions were found to be con-
siderably more favorable at this site than at the upper site;
however, solution channels in some areas of the limestone
abutments will create design problems. Land classification
and water supply phases of the investigation are essentially
complete and we are just starting design and estimates work
on the project features.

Savery-Pot Hook Proiect.

The feasibility report has been delayed for minor
revisions primarily with respect to manner of reporting.
No investigation work is involved which would delay the re-
submission.

Pine River Proiect Extension.

We have been asked by our Washington office to sup-
ply additional information for their review of the report.
We will forward copies of the report for your consideration
as soon as it is released.
