Larry told me that we
would probably be meeting next week and
will be all set from that point of view.

Is there anything further on the
Fryingpan-Arkansas?

The next item on the agenda is chan-
nel storage on the South Platte River.
Larry are you going to take that up for
us?"

I

"Gentlemen, I think I advised you re-
cently that we had employed another engi-
neer on a contract basis in the hopes that
that position would be made permanent by
the present session of the Legislature. We
have been thoroughly handicapped by lack of
qualified personnel to accomplish the many
problems which face this Board. We have requested .
both the Bureau of Reclamation and the Corps
of Engine~rs ~o budget money in this coming
fiscal year for that study. Both of those
agencies are trying to accomplish that mat-
ter. This Board will conduct studies in
cooperation with those agencies.

There are several plans presently under
contemplation that Mr. Miller has thought
of and we hope that even before money is I
available from the Corps or the Bureau that
the Board itself will be able to start the
ball rolling.

There is some water available in some
years for storage on the South Platte and
would greatly ease the situation on that
river at the present time.
