Mr. Bill Raley here.

MR. RALEY: There was an announcement of $583,000.
we're right, so we're asking you to check it out to
the right amount of funds.

We're not sure
make sure we have

I MR. BENTON: This is '76, Bill. List for '77 is $480,000.
MR. RALEY: I know, but I still think there's a discrepancy there.
MR. SPARKS: Ed, what is the correct figure?

MR. WISCOMBE: Figures change a little, but depending upon',the carry
over of what was appropriated before it was held up because of the
President's holdup in his funds, so I think that the figures are
essentially correct.

MR. SPARKS: I think the new money is $480,000.

MR. WISCOMBE: That's the correct figure, and what's passed depends upon
the carry: over.

MR. STAPLETON: Savery-Pot Hook.

MR. SPARKS: Savery-Pot Hook is another project which, like the Fruit-
land Mesa, was authorized in 1964. So as far as we know, there's been
no opposition to the project. It's in an area of the state which most
people don't know about. I met last week with the Pot Hook Board in
Craig and also with the Savery Board from Wyoming. I think we have
resolved the last problem with that project and we expect to move ahead
with it. We have construction funds available this fiscal year and the
funds programmed for next year appear to be adequate. The Pot Hook
District, I'm quite sure, is not represented here today. The President
did call me yesterday and again expressed the support of his board for
the project.

MR. STAPLETON: Any discussion or question on the Savery-Pot Hook?
(No response.)

We will go to the West Divide, and 1 gather there is nothing in our
folder on that.

I

MR. SPARKS: A plan for the development of the West Divide District has
not yet been formalized. We're waiting until we get some formal plan
before we put out a new summary for the project. However, the funds in
the President's budget appear to be adequate to carryon the planning
for that project. There is considerable opposition, I might add, to
that project, at least to the way it was originally presented in the
feasibility rep6.rt. What the distdct has attempted to do over there
the West Divide District, with the help of the Colorado River Water
Conservation District -- is to get a plan formulation which will meet
many of the objections which have been raised about the project.

-11-
