<br />"-vv..... <br /> <br />and from there we'll move up the Colorado and <br />into the White-Yampa Basin. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Curecanti Reservoir is a continuing study <br />to utilize waters of Curecanti Reservoir and <br />Taylor Park, etc. That is a fixed amount that <br />we have agreed on already with the Bureau of <br />Reclamation. $12,500 we have already furnished. <br />The Bureau of Reclamation will put up $25,000 <br />on that study. <br /> <br />And as a contingency we have $20,000, in <br />round numbers. Actually, we feel that per- <br />haps it will not be as necessary in the future <br />to furnish as much project investigation <br />money because we have projects now rolling <br />along at a very rapid rate. The Dolores is <br />coming up sometime this winter to be followed <br />shortly by the San Miguel, Dallas Creek and <br />West Divide. 80 we are building up a tre- <br />mendous backlog of projects. We do not feel <br />that it is going to be necessary for as much <br />contribution directly to the Bureau of Recla- <br />mation in the future although there are many <br />associated problems with all of these projects <br />that will take money to solve. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The ground water budget remains the same. <br />We have accelerated that progra~ and are now <br />moving into the South Platte Valley as a part <br />of our continuing ground water program. Last <br />year we furnished $100,000 to the united States <br />Geological Survey and a like amount has been <br />requested for this year. There is a great <br />demand, by the way, for the information which <br />is being turned out and published by the United <br />States Geological Survey under this program. <br />Hardly a day goes by that we do not receive <br />requests for the information which has been <br />published to date on our ground water resources. <br /> <br />Our gaging program is identical with last <br />year although we have dropped out some five <br />stations and picked up five new stations. <br />This program will gradually decline. As the <br />projects come into existence, of course, then <br />we will drop off the gaging stations. We are <br />
