users - or practically all of the water users -
in the Cache la poudre Basin. They are deter-
mining their particular areas of interest;
their desires for storage capacity; and other
plans which might be developed to improve the
efficiency of water use in that Basin. They
are considering seriously the consolidation of
a number of their plains reservoirs, that is,
the transfer of storage rights from those plains
reservoirs to reservoirs on the main stem with
a consequent saving in evaporation and more
efficient operation. They are very much inter-
ested in that phase of the work and they are
determining their needs in that respect. We
have received requests from some of them for
specified amounts of storage and those, of
course, will have to be evaluated and coordi-
nated and will aid considerably in our prepara-
tion of plans for that Basin.

We are endeavoring one thing there and
that is that we will try and retain the use
of Cache la Poudre water for the Cache la
poudre Basin to the extent that stream flows
in that Basin are not called by prior rights
on the South Platte River. Of course these
rights down the river will have to be respected
and if there is a call comes on the Cache la
Poudre,that goes, but other than that we are
trying to control and utilize those flows
within their native basin.

I think that's probably all I need to
report on this morning. Mr. Ogilvie, the
Assistant Director, will probably have some
comments on other phases of the Region 7 work
and I'd better turn this over to him."

will probably be his last meeting here for a
period of about two years with this Board. We
are very sorry to hear that he has been selected
