Clearing operations are well <br />under way, and the contractor began removing <br />structures from the reservoir area late in the <br />period. <br /> <br />The transmission work on the Upper Colorado <br />River storage project which is the Poncha-~tidway <br />section of the Cure cant i-Midway 230-kv trans- <br />mission line is about 55 percent complete in <br />about 35 percent of the time and the contractor <br />has shut down for the winter. placement of <br />concrete for tower footings on the east half of <br />the line is complete. The contractor has re- <br />ceived all conductor and insulator assemblies <br />for the entire line. Delivery of tower steel <br />is about 50 percent complete. <br /> <br />We have previously reported to you on the <br />Trinidad project in the progress that we have <br />made in negotiating a repayment contract for <br />the conservation space in Trinidad Reservoir. <br />This has been a difficult piece of work, in- <br />volving subcontracts with the ditch companies <br />to receive varying amounts of water and varying <br />benefits, but I am happy to report that we seem I <br />on the threshold of completing that contract. <br />The Board of the Purgatoire River Water Conser- <br />vancy District has executed an agreement with <br />the Hoehne Ditch company and this completes the <br />negotiations with the major ditch companies in- <br />volved in the project.
