bedding and riprap operations continued on the
outlet works channel.

The contractor on the major portion of the
county Road No. 104 relocation and improvement I
had completed 86.9 percent of the contract with
45.4 percent of the contract time elapsed.
pioneer excavations are complete on the road
and good progress is noted on the Fryingpan
River Bridge.

The contractor for clearing and fencing
at Ruedi Reservoir had completed 42.7 percent
of the contract with 16.0 percent of the contract
time elapsed. Clearing operations are well
under way, and the contractor began removing
structures from the reservoir area late in the
period.

The transmission work on the Upper Colorado
River storage project which is the Poncha-~tidway
section of the Cure cant i-Midway 230-kv trans-
mission line is about 55 percent complete in
about 35 percent of the time and the contractor
has shut down for the winter. placement of
concrete for tower footings on the east half of
the line is complete. The contractor has re-
ceived all conductor and insulator assemblies
for the entire line. Delivery of tower steel
is about 50 percent complete.

We have previously reported to you on the
Trinidad project in the progress that we have
made in negotiating a repayment contract for
the conservation space in Trinidad Reservoir.
This has been a difficult piece of work, in-
volving subcontracts with the ditch companies
to receive varying amounts of water and varying
benefits, but I am happy to report that we seem I
on the threshold of completing that contract.
The Board of the Purgatoire River Water Conser-
vancy District has executed an agreement with
the Hoehne Ditch company and this completes the
negotiations with the major ditch companies in-
volved in the project. There are a few minor
