Stiefel <br /> <br />l' <br /> <br />Judge Stone made a report concerning the investigation of the <br />flood control situation in the Pierce area near Greeley, Colorado. Mr. <br />Aspinall moved that the Chief Engineer of the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board and his staff be authorized and directed to make a survey of the <br />contributing causes of the flood situation ,in the Pierce area and report <br />b~ck to the Board at its next meeting. After discussion, the motion was <br />duly passed and approved. <br /> <br />Judge Stone referred to the flood situation on Bear Creek,~ <br />tributary of the South Platte near Denver, Colorado. His statements were <br />followed by further explanation of the flood damage arising from a recent <br />flood, by 1~, Patterson, Chief Engineer of the Board. <br /> <br />Thereupon 1'J1". Bailey moved that Mr. Patterson, Chief Engineer, <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board and his staff be instructed to lIlB.ke pre- <br />liminary investigations and report on the Bear Creek - Morrison Flood District. <br />The motion was seconded by Judge O'Rourke, and after discussion duly passed <br />and approved. <br /> <br />Mr. Hinderlider moved that a preliminary study of the flood <br />conditions, by the Board, be extended to the three areas, namel~r, Bear <br />Creek, South Boulder and possibly areas above Denver. Motion was seconded by <br />Judge 0 'Rourke and after discussion was duly passed and approved. <br /> <br />
