VOICE FROM AUDIENCE: "You gave a figure on cost allocated to
irrigation. Can you tell us how much that
is per acre-foot?"

lom. SAUNDERS: "No, I can't, just offhand. I just don't
have the figures in my mind. I don't ID~e
to misquote a figure but the real value to
the project, it doesn't produce any more
total acre-feet for the area, the values come
from the fact that these acre-feet are made
available during seasons of the year when
they are more productive. We are not getting
more acre-feet, we are getting more value for
the acre-feet vIe have."

have some members of your staff here, would
you introduce them, please?

Incidentally, I think we have plenty of
time so you don't need to hurry in any respect.
We are delighted to have you. I think this
is your first appearance up here, is it not?"

I would like to introduce Mr. Groepler of the
Albuquerque District staff. lotr. Groepler is
an associate of ~tr. Redmond's whom I am sure
most of you knovl from his previous appear-
ances before the Board. As you say, lott.
Chairman, this is my first appearance before
the Board. I am very pleased to have this
opportunity to give you an updating on f1r.
Saunders' masterful summary of the chronology
of the Trinidad project. Incidentally, lott.
Saunders and I have not had a chance to com-
pare notes and I hope that my figures will
jibe with his.

In my report on the Trinidad Project and
also the report on the activities of the Dis-
trict, I want to take advantage of your very
