~:J I~

14R. STAPLETON:

MR. SAUNDERS:

I.m. STAPLETON:

MR. SAUNDERS:

I>m. STAPLETON:

VOICE FROM AUDIENCE:

nice recreation area at a point in our state
which has a very warm winter climate. This
will attract people from a considerable area
all around and produce real economic benefits
as well as producing the good things of life
for this many more people.

I

There are a great many details to this -
the repayment contract is fearful and wonder-
ful. The people who want to get out are
wonderful but they are so wonderful that Jim
ogilvie is going to write a book about them
when he retires sometime. Each one in the
area is a rugged individualist and this applies
to Democrats, Ben, as well as to Republicans.
They are all individualists down there. So
this has been a most interesting project and
it demonstrates that the American way of life,
to let people fight it out, is a real good
thing and in the long run it all pays off for
everybody.

The Colonel for the Army Corps of Engi-
neers will take over. If I can answer any
questions, I'll be very glad to do so."

"I might point out, Mr. Saunders, that I
am the only one left on this Board that you
can be that insulting to:"

"You may remember how happy I am about
this too. Ben:"

"Glenn Saunders' innermost secrets always
come out."

"you see, I love the Republicans and I
love you because I loved your Dad before
you, so I am happy about the whole thing and
every member of the Board."

I

"Are there any questions of Hr. Saunders
on his report from members of the Board? From
the audience? Thank you, Glenn."

"Hay I as);:. a question?'
