JJV--;E" the platte River subbasin have been supplied to the Task Force on Irrigation System problems and needs. Similar data for the Republican (Kansas) I River subbasin will be developed this summer and should largely complete our obligations in the ~~ssouri Basin. Work activities related to the develop- ment of required data for the ~tissouri River Basin survey and the organization of the survey on the upper Colorado have delayed somewhat the progress of the Yampa River Basin survey. It is apparent that the report on this basin will not be completed by July I as had previously been scheduled. However, the first draft of the report will be pre- pared in June and we will then begin the regu- lar review and revision process with publica- tion of the completed report probably in september. Work is continuing on the Dolores River Basin survey. Subbasin areas have been care- fully checked and final figures are available. Soils and cover mapping is in progress. We are working on the development of data regard- ing land use, problem areas, and land suit- ability for development. An inventory of recreation activities, facilities, needs and development potentials is scheduled for late this summer or fall. We are not yet able to make a firm estimate of the date of completion of this survey, but are tentatively scheduling preliminary drafts for the fall of 1968. Field work schedules are now being developed for the San Juan River Basin. Work I will be carried on concurrently with the needs of the Upper Basin Survey and we anti- cipate the collection and analysis of data may be substantially completed in about 18 months from now. If this schedule can be met, we would anticipate preparation of pre- liminary drafts of the report during the winter of 1968-69.
