.J.J""Z'....

942 megawatts in the summer of 1970. The
winter delivery for the corresponding period
is expected to be less and would be about 403
megawatts and 713 megawatts, respectively.

~

Several contracts with preference cus-
tomers remain in the active negotiation stage,
representing an increase of 40-50 megawatts
for the summer of 1970 and about 25 megawatts
for the 1970-71 winter totals. In addition to
the firm power contracts, there are 19 short-
term contracts for sale of non firm energy.

Most of the contracts are with the pre-
ference type customers which are guaranteed
the delivery of the contract amounts for a
period of 20 years. Five of the customers are
nonpreference, such as the pacific Power and
Light Company, and these contracts are for
shorter terms, usually 5 years. At the end
of these short terms the contracts may be
extended if the available power is not re-
quiredby preference customers.

Due to heavy summer loads in the Southern
Division, the preference customer market for
firm power is presently somewhat higher in
the summer than in the "linter. The imbalance
between summer and winter firm loads will
ph~se out as Northern Division loads come up
to their share of capability. In the mean-
time, winter excess capacity will be used for
Hoover defioiencies, assistance to other proj-
ects, and to permit correction of deficiencies
inherent in new units as they are added at
Fontene11e, Blue Mesa, ~orrow point, Crystal,
and Central utah.

I

Power revenues during the calendar year
1966 approached ~11 million, a new high for
a twelve-month period. Cumulative revenues
through .l>larch 31, 1967, reached almost ~24
million. Revenues during 1966 were more
than adequate to meet Storage Project O~1
costs and paid a major portion of the annual
interest charge. progress on CRSP marketing
