I would <br />be most happy if, somewhere along the line, <br />you can work with the interim committee on <br />water which is going to be headed by Senator <br />Frank Gill. I am on that committee. I am <br />going to work very, very hard to try to get <br />you people to work with us in order to write <br />into law certain of these things that I have <br />been talking about. <br /> <br />Thank you very much, Ben." <br /> <br />"Thank you very much, Harry. I <br />think the remarks that Senator Locke made <br />relative to the legislature are certainly <br />pertinent to this meeting. I thirut the legis- <br />lature demonstrated rather clearly at the <br />last session that it wasn't in much of a mood <br />to change the water law that is presently on <br />the books and that we hope will be properly <br />enforced. <br /> <br />In the months ahead, when the water study <br />committee meetings are being held, I think <br />there will be a good opportunity for us and <br />certainly we intend to be highly vocal to <br />bring our problems to the attention of this <br />group, the water study committee, and those <br />others whom we feel offer us a potential re- <br />dress, including the state engineer. We want <br />them to know and understand there is no <br />
