SPARKSt

"Mr. Chairman, we are placing emphasis
this morning on the report from Region 7 of
the Bureau of Reclamation. This is because
several new programs are being instituted
this year and one of the older programs is
about to be completed - the feasibility in-
vestigation of the Upper South Platte Unit.
This year the Bureau is initiating feasibility,
studies on the Armel Unit which would utilize
water from the Bonny Reservoir and the Front
Range Unit which will emphasize the securing
of additional municipal water supplies for
cities along the Front Range, primarily the
Boulder, Loveland, Greeley, Fort Collins com-
plex. In addition to that some new studies
are being initiated on the Arkansas River.
The Bureau will also start studies this year
in cooperation with the staff of the Board on
the Colorado State Water Plan.

At the next meeting of the Board we
will have a comprehensive report from Region
4 on its activities. Some new activities
will be instituted by that region this fiscal
year.

That's the background for the report to
be made by Region 7."

MR. STAPLETON I

"I'd like to call on Jim Ingles then, if
you will give the report for Region 7."

Mr. Ingle~ used a screen and slides to illustrate his
presentation, with the assistance of Mr. Nelson.

MR, INGLES.

"Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
