<br />The Commissioner has approved the feasi- <br />bility report on the Fruitland Mesa Project, <br />and it should soon be distributed to interested <br />Federal and St~te agencies for formal review <br />, . <br />under provisions of the Flood Control Act of <br />1944. <br /> <br />On the Dallas Creek Project, engineering <br />surveys, collection and compilation of agricul- <br />tural economic data, water supply studies, <br />geologic investigations, plan formulation <br />studies, preparation of design data, and coop- <br />erative work with other Federal agencies have <br />been in progress during FY 1962. Drainage <br />studies were initiated and are well advanced. <br />Land classification studies are essentially com- <br />pleted. A proposed feasibility report is <br />scheduled for completion in FY 1964. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Progress on feasibility investigations of <br />the San Miguel Project has been directed toward <br />plan formulation studies, land clas~ification <br />and drainage studies, operation and w?ter re- <br />quirement studies, and preliminary cost esti- <br />mates. cooperative discussions have also been <br />held with representatives of the Bureau of <br />Sport Fisheries and wildlife and the Colorado <br />Game and Fish Department. <br /> <br />Following review by the Bureau of the <br />Budget, as requested by the Secretary of the <br />Interior in March 1961, the Secretary trans- <br />mitted his feasibility report on the Savery- <br />Pot Hook Project to Congress on June 25, 196~. <br />The Secretary's report recommended that con- <br />struction of the project be authorized. <br /> <br />On the West Divide Project, feasibility <br />investigations and engineering surveys are com- <br />plete except for minor items. Land classifi- <br />cation, drainage studies, and geologic explora- <br />tions are essentially complete. Water supply, <br />plan formulation, and economic studies and <br />cooperative planning are well advanced. The <br />proposed feasibility report is scheduled for <br />completion in FY 1964. <br /> <br />I <br />
