The Commissioner has approved the feasi-
bility report on the Fruitland Mesa Project,
and it should soon be distributed to interested
Federal and St~te agencies for formal review
, .
under provisions of the Flood Control Act of
1944.

On the Dallas Creek Project, engineering
surveys, collection and compilation of agricul-
tural economic data, water supply studies,
geologic investigations, plan formulation
studies, preparation of design data, and coop-
erative work with other Federal agencies have
been in progress during FY 1962. Drainage
studies were initiated and are well advanced.
Land classification studies are essentially com-
pleted. A proposed feasibility report is
scheduled for completion in FY 1964.

Progress on feasibility investigations of
the San Miguel Project has been directed toward
plan formulation studies, land clas~ification
and drainage studies, operation and w?ter re-
quirement studies, and preliminary cost esti-
mates. cooperative discussions have also been
held with representatives of the Bureau of
Sport Fisheries and wildlife and the Colorado
Game and Fish Department.

Following review by the Bureau of the
Budget, as requested by the Secretary of the
Interior in March 1961, the Secretary trans-
mitted his feasibility report on the Savery-
Pot Hook Project to Congress on June 25, 196~.
The Secretary's report recommended that con-
struction of the project be authorized.

On the West Divide Project, feasibility
investigations and engineering surveys are com-
plete except for minor items. Land classifi-
cation, drainage studies, and geologic explora-
tions are essentially complete. Water supply,
plan formulation, and economic studies and
cooperative planning are well advanced. The
proposed feasibility report is scheduled for
completion in FY 1964.
