The Juniper Report will appraise the possibili-
ties for power generation on the'Yampa River,
utilizing storage at the potential Juniper,
Cross Mountain, and Lily Park Reservoir sites.

The Ruedi-Western Slope reconnaissance
investigations are essentially completed. These
investigations involve the possible uses of
water on the potential Bluestone and Basalt
Projects that would be provided by the Ruedi
Reservoir (Fryingpan-Arkansas Project). The
two project analySes will be combined in one
report on the Ruedi-Western Slope investigations
to be completed early in FY 1963.

The Upper Gunnison Basin reconnaissance
investigations, consisting of a review of pro-
posed project lands, water supply studies, plan
formulation studies and estimates, are in
progress. Completion of the reconnaissance
report is scheduled for FY 1963.

Under feasibility investigations, the
feasibility report on the Animas-La Plata, after
having been reviewed by various interests at
the field level, was revised and in March 1962
was submitted to the Commissioner of Reclama-
tion. The Commissioner has approved the report
and it should soon be distributed to interested
State and Federal agencies for formal review
under provisions of the Flood Control Act of
1944.

Feasibility investigations on the Dolores
Project are essentially complete, and the pro-
posed feasibility report has been completed and
distributed for review by the Commissioner,
Assistant Commissioner and Chief Engineer, and
various State and Federal agencies at the field
level.

The feasibility report on the Bostwick Park
Project has been approved by the Secretary of
the Interior and reviewed under the Flood Con-
trol Act of 1944. The Secretary of the Interior
transmitted the report to the President on
February 26, 1962.
