"Mr. Chairman and members of the Board,
Region 7 is interested in 4 projects in colorado
other than the Green Mountain Project. First I
might say that the afterbay study below Green
Mountain was left out of this report because I
did not know until last week whether we could
use the money or not until October, but actually
word came through that we could start it the
1st of July and so we've made our first recon-
naissance trip.

On the Trinidad Project, we developed the
operating principles and criteria, We sub-
mitted these to the Conservation Board, the
Colorado Game and Fish, and the Corps of Engi-
neers and coordinated these principles with
those agencies, We then submitted them to the
purgatoire River Water Conservancy District for
consideration. We've heard they have some
recommendations to make on these criteria but
we haven't really got into the matter to study
it very deeply yet, We made some short water
delivery studies on the various canals below
Trinidad which should be helpful in negotiating
repayment contract. And we made the studies
for the operation, maintenance and replacement
for the irrigation facilities for this project
and submitted those to the Corps of Engineers.

On the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project I think
the Bureau's activities since the last meeting
of the Board are very minor compared to other
activities that have been taking place. We
did, however, study the project in the light of
new economic procedures that the Bureau has
