First I <br />might say that the afterbay study below Green <br />Mountain was left out of this report because I <br />did not know until last week whether we could <br />use the money or not until October, but actually <br />word came through that we could start it the <br />1st of July and so we've made our first recon- <br />naissance trip. <br /> <br />On the Trinidad Project, we developed the <br />operating principles and criteria, We sub- <br />mitted these to the Conservation Board, the <br />Colorado Game and Fish, and the Corps of Engi- <br />neers and coordinated these principles with <br />those agencies, We then submitted them to the <br />purgatoire River Water Conservancy District for <br />consideration. We've heard they have some <br />recommendations to make on these criteria but <br />we haven't really got into the matter to study <br />it very deeply yet, We made some short water <br />delivery studies on the various canals below <br />Trinidad which should be helpful in negotiating <br />repayment contract. And we made the studies <br />for the operation, maintenance and replacement <br />for the irrigation facilities for this project <br />and submitted those to the Corps of Engineers. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />On the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project I think <br />the Bureau's activities since the last meeting <br />of the Board are very minor compared to other <br />activities that have been taking place. We <br />did, however, study the project in the light of <br />new economic procedures that the Bureau has <br />
