I think, have been absolutely magnificent in
this whole thing. I would certainly think
that we ought, perhaps even as a Board, after
these projects are completed and the authoriza-
tions, and we are treated so well, that we ought
to make that known to the Bureau. I think the
Board could well extend their appreciation to
people like Bob Persons of the Public Service
Company. We had a lot of power problems that
were worked out and some of those letters of
explanation as to why the private power inter-
ests were in favor of the Fryingpan-Arkansas
were of great significance in securing support
for this project.

I think maybe the Board ought to give some
consideration to officially thanking some of
the key people who helped in this area."

"I think that's a good suggestion, Governor,
and during the noon hour I think we'll ask Mr.
Kuiper if he will get us a list of people whom
we should officially thank and perhaps put on
the agenda for the afternoon's consideration.

I personally feel that in the last six or
seven years the authorizations that the Water
Board has had a part in has certainly justi-
fied its existence and every nickel that has
been allotted to it by the Legislature. And
speaking of the Legislature, I would like at
this time to recognize Senator Hestia Wilson.
Senator, will you stand? We are delighted to
have you. I don't think we ever have a meeting,
any place, that Hestia isn't there and we are
delighted to see you again."
