Crawford, Director <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />212 State Office Building <br />Denver, Colorado <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Crawforq: <br /> <br />As promised by Mr. Jacobson at November 29 meeting <br />of Colorado Water Conservation Board, we are forwarding <br />information regarding the schedules and plans for investiga- <br />tions in the Gu~ison River and Cliffs-Divide areas. <br /> <br />The progress we have made since our June 10, 1955 <br />letter to you outlining our FY 1956 program in the <br />Grand Junction and Durango Offices, and our future plans <br />are as follows: <br /> <br />Fruitland Mesa Project. Field work on the <br />detailed land classification is approximately 65% .complete. <br />Field work was suspended in mid November due to snow <br />conditions and will not be resumed until April or May. <br />Three drill holes were completed on the Big Soap Park Dam <br />site which showed even better foundation rock than <br />anticipated considering that the foundation rock is <br />volcanic agglomerate. Field exploration for construction <br />materials for Big Soap Park was completed and some progress <br />on topographic surveys for the reservoir site was made <br />before the snow came. Completion of the preliminary draft <br />of the report is scheduleifor June 1957. <br /> <br />Parshall Project. All investigational work was <br />suspended after the ~eptember 22 meeting with: representatives <br />of the Colorado Water Conservation Board, and the city of <br />Denver. <br /> <br />I <br />
