BAILEY: "Are there any further questions about
the Parshall Project?"

MR. CRAWFORD: "It will be followed up."

5. Appearance before Appropriations Committee

Mr. Crawford reported on his appearance before the
Appropriations Committee in regard to the request of the
Board for One Hundred Thousand Dollars for the purpose of
cooperating with the Bureau of Reclamation on project
studies. He stated that while he did not receive any
particular adverse criticism, some people felt that the
investigations should be confined to the Western Slope
which would cut out the investigations in the Closed Basin
of the San Luis Valley.

MR. CRAWFORD:

"At my appearance before the Appropriations
Committee, I presented a tentative bill,
merely my version of how it might be set up.
Projects were not named except to say
approximately so much of the money for the.
Closed Basin of the San Luis Valley, etc."

"Was it your idea that it would be
introduced as a separate bill?"

MR. PETERSON:
