West Divide <br /> <br />With the advent of the hit list, the Board, in Felix Sparks' <br />testimony before Congress, ceased requesting construction funds <br />for the Fruitland Mesa and Savory-pothook projects and focused on <br />the Narrows and Animas-La Plata projects, although it was made clear <br />that the Board still supported all projects. In 1980, the Board <br />further reduced its request, asking only that construction be <br />started on the Animas-La Plata project. <br /> <br />-8- <br />
